จากความทรงจำและความประทับใจที่ได้ใช้ชีวิตอยู่ ณ ดินแดนที่เต็มไปด้วยสีสันและอารยธรรมที่หลากหลาย สู่ผลงานการออกแบบแฟชั่นนิพนธ์ “Longing for Bahia”คอลเลคชั่นที่ถ่ายทอดแรงบันดาลใจที่ได้รับจากการใช้ ชีวิต 1 ปีอยู่ ณ เมือง Salvador da Bahia ประเทศบราซิล โดยถ่ายทอดสีสันของศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมที่สะดุดตา แห่งดินแดนละตินอเมริกา ผ่านรูปแบบเสื้อผ่าร่วมสมัย จุดกำเนิดของแรงบันดาลใจเกิดขึ้นเมื่อผู้วิจัยได้ฟังบทเพลง “Saudades da Bahia” บทเพลง samba ยุค 50’s ที่ถ่ายทอดความรู้สึกคิดถึงและโหยหาช่วงเวลาแห่งความสุข ที่เคยได้ใช้ชีวิตอยู่ที่ Salvador da Bahia ของผู้ประพันธ์ Dorival Caymmi เนื้อหาของบทเพลงทำให้ผู้วิจัยเกิดความรู้สึกคิดถึงช่วงเวลาเหล่านั้น นึกถึงการที่ได้อยู่กับเพื่อนและครอบครัว และที่สำคัญไปกว่านั้นคือการได้สัมผัสกับศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม รวมทั้งรูปแบบของสถาปัตยกรรม ที่ไม่เคยพบเห็นมาก่อน ผู้วิจัยจึงได้นำความประทับใจเหล่านั้น มาถ่ายทอดผ่านดีเทลล์และ Silhouette ของชุด ผนวกเข้ากับแรงบันดาลใจจากผลงานภาพวาด “As Baianas” ของ Emiliano Di Cavalcanti จิตรกรรมยุค 50’s ที่ถ่ายทอดวิถีชีวิตของหญิงสาวพื้นเมือง ผ่านรูปแบบของศิลปะ free form ที่ได้รับอิทธิพลจากศิลปะลัทธิคิวบิสม์ โดยผู้วิจัยได้กำหนดโทนสีหลัก จากสีสันของภาพวาดชิ้นนี้ ภูมิปัญญาการปักฉลุ โดยกลุ่มปักจักรบ้านขวัญเรียม เขตประเวศ เป็นที่ขึ้นชื่อในเรื่องของฝีมือ ความละเอียด และประณีต จนได้รับแต่งตั้งให้เป็นสินค้าระดับ 5 ดาว ซึ่งในปัจจุบันภูมิปัญญาการปักฉลุถือว่าเป็นภูมิปัญญาอนุรักษ์ ที่ในปัจจุบัน น้อยคนนักจะสามารถทำได้ เนื่องจากงานที่มีความละเอียดสูงและต้องใช้ทักษะค่อนข้างมาก ต่างจากการปักทั่วไป โดยผู้วิจัยเลือกใช้ภูมิปัญญาการปักฉลุ เนื่องจากมีความสอด คล้องกับดีเทลล์ที่ปรากฎอยู่บนชุดของชนพื้นเมืองของ Bahia ผู้วิจัยจึงเกิดแนวคิดที่จะนำการปักฉลุ มาพัฒนาสู่ลวดลายที่ได้แรงบันดาลใจมาจากผลงานภาพวาดและศิลปะตามผนังโบสถ์โดยเลือกใช้ลายฉลุที่เป็น เอกลักษณ์อันโดดเด่นของชุมชนอย่าง ลายแมงมุม และลายตามั่ว โดยขั้นตอนแรกจะเริ่มจากการปักลงบนผ้าพิมพ์ลายก่อน จากนั้นจึงนำมาฉลุในส่วนที่ต้องการจะให้เป็นรูด้วยการตัด และทำการรองผ้าอีกสีหนึ่งด้านล่าง เพื่อให้เกิดมิติในการมอง https://houseoftheep.wordpress.com/

From the memories and impressions of living in Brazil have been inspired to my Graduation project “Longing for Bahia” The collection which tells the story of the memorable experiences of a part of my lifetime in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil and the joyfulness of Latin American culture and art turning into the contemporary fashion designs. I listened to a song called “Saudades da Bahia” by Dorival Caymmi ,a 50’s samba song that’s written from the feeling of longing for the blessed moment of his life in ‘Salvador da Bahia’ .The song reminded me to the amazing time I had with my friends and family there and especially the experiences of being surrounded by the wonderful arts, cultures and architectures.Therefore I turned all the impressions into the details and Silhouettes.Combined with the inspiration from a painting “As Baianas” by a Brazilian painter “Emiliano Di Cavalcanti”.The painting tells the story of Bahian traditional women lifestyle and the environment of Salvador ,The painting is in modern Brazilian free-form style which influenced from the Cubism art and the color way of the painting have become the tone of the collection. ‘Stencil Embroidery Baan Kwan Riam at Prawet distric’ is an expert in embroidering as the five star products. Nowadays, The stencil embroidery has became a must conserve Thai wisdom because of the high resolution details and using lots of skill so not much people can make it.The stencil embroidery is appeared as an obviously seen technique on Bahian traditional women costume. Therefore my development idea was to apply the stencil embroidery technique on the prints that inspired from the painting and the mural painting and using the unique stencil styles from Bann Kwan Riam such as spider style and free-line style.The first process is embroidering silks on the printed fabric and then craving the part that you want it to be through and layering the different fabric under to get more dimension.
