INTERIOR ARCHITECTURAL RENOVATION DESIGN FOR THE VISITOR CENTER AND ACCOMMODATION KHAO LEAM YA – MU KOH SAMET NATIONAL PARK

This interior architectural renovation design for the visitor center and accommodation areas is a project conducted under the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation. The design aims to construct an architecture aimed at creating more space for conservation activities and accommodation for tourists. Located in Khao Laem Ya National Park – Mu Koh Samet, Rayong, one of the country’s most famous natural attractions, this balances the union between human beings and nature dependently by not destroying the deserved conservation natural resources in the national park. Due to the definition of a national park in the National Park Act of Thailand, which gives precedence to nature conservation and also sees the advantages of educating and entertaining people, this project has chosen the word ‘conservation’ as its key idea for the concept. Conservation can be interpreted in many different ways, and the focuses that have been taken here include natural atmosphere conservation achieved through the use of natural and reusable materials, energy conservation achieved through the use of natural resources and the combination of sunlight and ventilation that are brought together within the architecture in order to achieve maximum benefit. The highest goal of conservation is to raise the users’ awareness by letting them realize the positive aspects of the coexistence between nature and conservation.

โครงการออกแบบปรับปรุงศูนย์บริการและบ้านพักนักท่องเที่ยว อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาแหลมหญ้า-หมู่เกาะเสม็ด

โครงการศูนย์บริการและบ้านพักนักท่องเที่ยวแห่งนี้ เป็นโครงการของกรมอุทยานแห่งชาติฯ ที่จะทำการก่อสร้างสถาปัตยกรรมเพื่อเพิ่มพื้นที่ในการทำกิจกรรมเชิงอนุรักษ์และรองรับนักท่องเที่ยว ที่ตั้งของโครงการอยู่ที่อุทยานแห่งชาติเขาแหลมหญ้า-หมู่เกาะเสม็ด จังหวัดระยอง ซึ่งเป็นสถานที่ท่องเที่ยวทางธรรมชาติที่ได้รับความนิยมอย่างมาก การจะสร้างสมดุลในการอยู่ร่วมกันระหว่างมนุษย์และสิ่งแวดล้อมจึงเป็นสิ่งที่ต้องคำนึงถึงเป็นหลักในการออกแบบเพื่อให้มนุษย์สามารถอยู่ร่วมกับธรรมชาติได้อย่างพึ่งพาอาศัยกัน โดยไม่ทำลายทรัพยากรธรรมชาติที่มีคุณค่าควรแก่การอนุรักษ์ภายในอุทยานฯ จากนิยามของคำว่าอุทยานแห่งชาติตามพรบ.อุทยานแห่งชาติ ได้ให้ความสำคัญกับการสงวนสภาพธรรมชาติเพื่อเห็นประโยชน์แก่การศึกษาและความรื่นรมย์ของประชาชน จึงนำคำว่า ‘อนุรักษ์’ มาเป็นหัวใจหลักในการออกแบบ ซึ่งการอนุรักษ์สามารถตีความไปได้ในหลายรูปแบบเพื่อนำมาใช้กับการออกแบบในแง่มุมต่างๆ การตีความการอนุรักษ์ในแง่มุมต่างๆเพื่อนำมาสู่การออกแบบ ประกอบไปด้วยการอนุรักษ์บรรยากาศธรรมชาติที่สวยงามภายในอุทยานฯ โดยการใช้วัสดุธรรมชาติที่เป็นวัสดุที่สามารถทดแทนได้ง่ายหรือเป็นวัสดุที่นำกลับมาใช้ใหม่อีกครั้ง และการอนุรักษ์พลังงานโดยการใช้ประโยชน์จากทรัพยากรธรรมชาติ แดด-ลม ให้เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมกับสถาปัตยกรรม ให้เกิดประโยชน์สูงสุด และเป้าหมายสูงสุดของการอนุรักษ์คือการสร้างจิตสำนึกของผู้ใช้งานโครงการ โดยให้ผู้ใช้งานได้ตระหนักถึงประโยชน์และข้อดีของการอยู่ร่วมกับธรรมชาติและการอนุรักษ์ในแง่มุมต่างๆ
