THE EQUIPMENT PROVIDED IN SUPERSTORES FOR THE CONVENIENCE OF DISABLED PEOPLE IN WHEELCHAIRS

In present-day society, the needs of the disabled population are continuously increasing. With their physical challenges, the disabled have been deprived access to facilities due to their inconvenient usage. The government has stepped in to promote a policy that aims to encourage every department and institution to campaign for and support the disabled to do things on their own, which has in turn led to a facilitation policy emerging from many department and superstores worldwide. Due to the body’s limitations when using a wheelchair, shopping habits of the disabled are different from the norm. For the disabled, shopping alone can prove much more difficult and challenging. The goal of this project, to provide convenient equipment for the use of disabled persons in wheelchairs within superstores, aims to meet the users’ needs when buying grocery products as well as promote a good image for the chosen superstore. Equipment including shopping carts, food trays and pick-up sticks are all tools that can help the disabled to shop or request assistance from sales staff more quickly and easily while encouraging the disabled to come out, live with others and even shop by themselves.

โครงการออกแบบอุปกรณ์อำนวยความสะดวกในซูเปอร์เซ็นเตอร์สำหรับคนพิการนั่งเก้าอี้ล้อเข็น (วีลแชร์)

ในสังคมปัจจุบัน แนวโน้มของจำนวนประชากรคนพิการทางการเคลื่อนไหวมีเพิ่มมากขึ้น จากข้อจำกัดทางร่างกายทำให้คนพิการโดนกีดกันออกจากสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกต่างๆ เพราะความไม่เอื้ออำนวยต่อการใช้บริการ รัฐบาลจึงมีนโยบายที่ส่งเสริมให้ทุกภาคส่วนมีการรณรงค์และสนับสนุนให้คนพิการออกมาทำกิจกรรมต่างๆ ด้วยตนเองมากขึ้น ห้างสรรพสินค้า หรือซูเปอร์เซ็นเตอร์มีนโยบายอำนวยความสะดวกให้คนพิการ เนื่องจากข้อจำกัดของร่างกายที่ต้องนั่งเก้าอี้ล้อเข็น ทำให้พฤติกรรมการเลือกซื้อสินค้าของคนพิการแตกต่างจากกลุ่มคนปกติทั่วไป การซื้อสินค้าด้วยตัวคนเดียวจึงทำได้ยากขึ้น วัตถุประสงค์ของการออกแบบอุปกรณ์อำนวยความสะดวกในซูเปอร์เซ็นเตอร์สำหรับคนพิการนั่งเก้าอี้ล้อเข็น (วีลแชร์) เพื่อตอบสนองต่อการใช้งานและความต้องการซื้อสินค้าประเภทต่างๆ และเป็นการส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ที่ดีแก่ซูเปอร์เซ็นเตอร์ที่ใช้เป็นกรณีศึกษา อุปกรณ์ประกอบไปด้วย อุปกรณ์บรรจุและเคลื่อนย้ายสินค้า (รถเข็นสินค้า) ที่วางถาดอาหาร (สำหรับใช้งานภายในศูนย์อาหาร) และอุปกรณ์หยิบสินค้าจากที่สูง-ต่ำ (สำหรับใช้งานภายในส่วนของซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ต) อุปกรณ์อำนวยความสะดวกที่กล่าวมาข้างต้น จะเป็นส่วนที่ช่วยให้คนพิการเข้าถึงการเลือกสินค้า หรือขอความช่วยเหลือจากพนักงานได้ง่าย และรวดเร็วมากขึ้น ส่งเสริมให้คนพิการได้ออกมาใช้ชีวิตร่วมกับคนทั่วไป และเลือกซื้อสินค้าได้ด้วยตัวเอง
